Feels Like Temperature Calculator Calculator
Calculate feels-like temperature from actual temperature, humidity and wind speed. Uses heat index in hot conditions and wind chill in cold conditions.
Info
The feels-like temperature calculator provides a more realistic sense of outdoor thermal perception by considering not only actual air temperature, but also humidity and wind. The human body does not experience temperature based on air temperature alone. When humidity rises, sweat evaporates less efficiently and the air can feel hotter than it is. When wind increases, the body loses heat faster and the air can feel colder than the thermometer reading. Depending on conditions, this tool uses two common meteorological approaches: - Heat Index for hot and humid conditions - Wind Chill for cold and windy conditions If the entered values do not fall within the standard application ranges of those methods, the tool treats the felt temperature as approximately equal to the actual temperature. This is more reliable than forcing one formula to apply in every situation. This calculator is especially useful for: - checking outdoor comfort before going outside - planning sports, walking or outdoor activities - understanding heat stress or cold exposure risk - seeing how humid summer weather really feels - estimating the chilling effect of winter wind Note: Feels-like temperature is a meteorological approximation. Sun exposure, shade, clothing, activity level, body type and nearby surfaces can all affect actual human perception.
