Acid-Base Neutralization Calculator Calculator

Calculates the neutralization status, remaining concentration, and pH when acid and base solutions are mixed.

Tutorial / How it works →

Info

In acid-base reactions, H⁺ and OH⁻ ions combine to form water. This tool calculates the remaining ion amount and pH based on moles and concentration. Key formulas used: n = M · V pH = -log[H⁺] pOH = -log[OH⁻] pH + pOH = 14 Practical for lab work and chemistry education.

What Is Neutralization?
  • Acids donate H⁺, bases donate OH⁻ ions.
  • Equal moles of H⁺ and OH⁻ produce a neutral solution.
  • Excess ions make the solution acidic or basic.
  • Total volume: V_total = Va + Vb
Assumptions valid for dilute aqueous solutions have been used.
